To provide our comprehensive companion experience, we collect and process the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you sign up using Email, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo.
• Health & Fitness Data: If you use our tracking features, we securely store your daily calorie entries, workout activities, and physical statistics (weight, height).
• Biometric Data: Our password vault feature uses local device biometrics (Face ID/Touch ID) for security. We do not collect, transmit, or store your biometric data on our servers. This data remains entirely on your device.
• User Content: We store your chat messages, AI interactions, diary entries, notes, and password vault entries (which are securely encrypted).
• Usage & Device Data: We collect crash reports and usage statistics to improve application stability and performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively for the following purposes:

• To Provide Services: Facilitating AI conversations, syncing data across your devices, and managing your friend connections.
• To Improve AI Responses: Your interactions with our AI companions (powered by Open Source Models such as GPT and Gemma) are processed to provide context-aware responses.
• For Security: Authenticating your identity and preventing unauthorized access to your account.
• For Support: Responding to your requests and providing customer service.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party service providers to power Stellar. These providers only access data necessary to perform their specific functions:

• Authentication: Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In handle account verification.
• AI Processing: Open Source Models (such as GPT and Gemma) process conversational text to generate AI companion responses.
• Billing: RevenueCat manages premium subscriptions and in-app purchases.

4. Data Security & Storage

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data. For our password vault feature, only robust AES-256 encrypted passwords (derived from your master password using PBKDF2 with 10,000 iterations) are stored on our servers. These passwords can only be decrypted and viewed directly on your device, ensuring ultimate, zero-knowledge security.

5. Your Privacy Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. You may request to access, modify, or delete your personal information at any time. You can permanently delete your account directly within the Stellar app (Profile Settings > Delete Account) or through our Account Deletion portal. Account deletion will immediately and permanently erase all your data from our active servers.

6. Children's Privacy

Stellar is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child's account.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
